Job Summary

Civtec Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Drill Operator/Locator to join our Christchurch Team. As a key member of our operational field force, you will be responsible for undertaking machine operation and labouring within the Civil/Water department in line with Civtec process and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake machine operation and labouring within the Civil/Water department
  • Undertake all work required to complete civil/water projects
  • Act as a first-line response, providing specific technical advice to team members on site to ensure tasks are completed as per the design and meet industry and Civtec standards
  • Mentor and educate teams on site to improve efficiencies and quality of delivery
  • Use appropriate Civtec technology (e.g., apps)
  • Ensure all prestart documentation, permits, quality assurance, and compliance documentation is completed
  • Escalate issues, as appropriate, to the manager

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Proven experience in all aspects of civil and/or Water works including machine operation and labouring
  • Proven experience leading by example and taking pride in delivering a safe, productive, high-quality end result
  • A high standard of all compliance documentation
  • A Class 1 New Zealand Driver's Licence (or higher)
  • A WTR endorsement
  • A Class 2 New Zealand Driver's Licence preferred
  • A First Aid Certificate preferred
  • Traffic Management qualifications
  • Reasoning and problem-solving ability
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
  • Reliable and honest
  • An enthusiastic attitude
  • Attention to detail, professional, and excellent time management
