About the Opportunity
The Intellectual Disability Service at Wakari Hospital is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join the Community Liaison Team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting and rehabilitating care recipients both in the inpatient ward and in the community.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering effective clinical psychology interventions for patients. This will involve working closely with other clinical psychologists within the organisation, as well as liaising with clients, their families, and other health professionals.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist who can provide high-quality patient-centred interventions. You should have a sound knowledge of clinical psychology assessment and interventions, with relevance to intellectual disability as well as mental health.
A key aspect of this role is your ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be open to different ways of working.
