About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Professional to work one-on-one with an individual who requires complex behavioural support. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of emotional regulation and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for the person we support.

The role involves helping the individual to:

  • Recognise and respond to emotional overwhelm
  • Grow their independence and learn skills for daily living
  • Manage their daily routines, including showering, dressing, taking medication, and eating meals
  • Pursue their goals, interests, and hobbies
  • Stay healthy and make positive choices about their lifestyle
  • Maintain strong connections with their whanau and community

What You'll Get Out of It

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $23.84 to $29.10, depending on relevant qualifications. We also offer generous long service leave entitlements, insurance benefits after 2 years' service, and the opportunity to complete Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
