About the Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the health and disability sector, as well as experience working with challenging behaviours. They will be comfortable using computers and tablets daily and have strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness is also essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Providing individualised support to people with complex needs
- Helping individuals to recognise and respond safely to emotional overwhelm
- Assisting with daily routines such as showering, dressing, and taking medication
- Pursuing goals, interests, and hobbies
- Staying healthy and making positive lifestyle choices
- Fostering strong connections with whanau and community
Requirements:
- Previous experience within the health and disability sector
- Experience working with challenging behaviours
- Comfortable using computers and tablets daily
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical fitness
- Full NZ driver's license
