We are seeking a highly skilled Drug and Alcohol Clinician to join our dedicated team at Wakari Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to make a real difference in the lives of clients with substance use issues.

The successful candidate will work closely with General Practitioners, DHB Mental Health Services, and external NGO's to provide comprehensive care to clients. With a focus on assessment, treatment planning, and documentation, this role requires a strong understanding of addiction issues and co-existing-problems (CEP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide new assessments and ongoing treatment for clients receiving Alcohol and Other Drug treatment.
  • Co-facilitate therapeutic groups to support clients in their recovery journey.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external organisations to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
