About The Job

This role will see you carry out vegetation and pest plant management activities within the region's many parks and reserves. Day-to-day tasks will involve chemical spraying and application of herbicides, manual removal of weeds, operating spray equipment/machinery, and assisting other teams when needed.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working outdoors, willing to get stuck in, and possesses a strong work ethic. Ideally, experience in pest plant management would be beneficial, but it is not essential. Key factors include:

  1. A clean and current drivers' licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
  2. A standard GrowSafe Certificate would be advantageous but not necessary.
  3. Being a team player with a positive attitude – helping out your colleagues should come naturally.
  4. A desire to adhere to our health and safety procedures.
  5. Tons of motivation and a strong desire to succeed.
  6. Physical fitness – the role involves a lot of walking/heavy lifting.
