About This Opportunity

Auckland Zoo is seeking an experienced Interpretation Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and educational interpretative content throughout the zoo.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver high-quality interpretive content that showcases Auckland Zoo's mission and values
  2. Work closely with the Interpretation Advisor to ensure consistency in tone and voice across all content
  3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement new exhibits and experiences

Requirements

  • Diploma in science communication, museum studies, journalism, teaching, or a related field
  • Experience in interpretation, written communications, or conservation education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in digital tools, including Microsoft Office
