Job DescriptionWe are seeking skilled individuals to join our Ambulance & Events team as Volunteers. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in your community while developing valuable skills and experience.
As an Ambulance & Events Volunteer, you will provide care and support to patients through their journey, which may start at a 111 call and end either being referred to another healthcare provider, treated on scene, or transported to a medical facility.
You may also have the opportunity to work at local and international sports events, school fairs, or concerts, providing critical care and support to patients in need.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A full and clean NZ driver's licence for at least 12 months or have completed an approved NZTA advanced driving course (if full licence held for less than 12 months)
- To be 18 years of age or over
- New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status
- A clean police record
- To be able to pass Hato Hone St John assessments - physical assessment, health questionnaire, literacy and numeracy assessments and an interview

- To be available for regular duty and training (approximately two 12 hour shifts and one training session per month).
We offer NZQA recognised training and provide all the support and education needed to make you safe and effective in the field.
Once accepted, your online and classroom training and workbooks will take around 6-9 months to complete.
