About the Role

The New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development is seeking a highly skilled National Security Expert to join our team as a Principal Intelligence Analyst. As a key member of our National Security Intelligence workstream, you will play a critical role in providing valuable insights and strategic advice to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

In this technical leadership role, you will work closely with your team and stakeholders to build relationships and long-term customer engagement. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing robust knowledge and information sharing systems and processes between stakeholders on immigration-related matters.
  • Ensuring that intelligence products are shaped and presented to provide maximum value to customers.
  • Mentoring and coaching Intelligence Analysts and Senior Intelligence Analysts and Researchers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Intelligence Analyst at a senior level within a government agency.
  • Established relationships across the NZIC.
  • Experience in setting up systems and processes for Intelligence.
  • Demonstrable background in mentoring and coaching others in intelligence practices and the application of analytical tools.
