Salary Band J

$142,093 - $151,566 per annum. This salary reflects full competence in the role.

About the Role

We are looking for a new Technical Leader in the Intelligence Directorate to lead an established team of talented technical analysts. The team develops, maintains, and deploys tools and capabilities required to drive the intelligence mission forward. As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for shaping the team's priorities and ensuring that quality and timely products are delivered in line with user requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and provide input to the unit's business plan
  • Design data-driven solutions
  • Provide technical and personal guidance to team members
  • Identify, design, and lead projects that use unique datasets from various sources
  • Assist in coordinating the Intelligence Directorate's operational response to urgent or complex customer needs

Requirements

  • Experience in a line-management role
  • Passion for developing people
  • Software development, system engineering, or DevOps background
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to engage with technical best practice and minimise technical debt across infrastructure
