Court Reporter Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced court reporter to join our team at the Kansas Office Of Judicial Administration. As an Official Court Reporter, you will be responsible for recording and transcribing judicial proceedings, as well as managing exhibits and other administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Record and transcribe court hearings with precision and speed.
- Maintain electronic records and backup storage of recorded proceedings.
- Assist the chief judge and designees with administrative tasks.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you must have a strong foundation in court reporting, including a High school diploma or equivalent, and formal training in machine shorthand or voice writing program. Additionally, you must possess a Kansas Certified Court Reporter certificate (or be eligible to obtain a temporary certificate) in compliance with applicable Kansas Supreme Court rules.
