Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, focusing on their goals, interests, and hobbies.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals, families, and whanau, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Pursue ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the disability sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to work with people with intellectual disabilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Physical fitness and the capacity to provide necessary physical support.
  • A Full NZ driver's license.
