As a Medical Officer with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality healthcare to our rural community. The patient mix is broad, with a full range of trauma, medical, and minor presentations. You will have opportunities to develop and grow your skills in various settings, including the emergency department, medical ward, and fracture clinic.

About the Hospital
Tokoroa hospital sees approximately 14,000 presentations annually through its emergency department and has a 17-bed inpatient ward. We offer on-site plain film radiology and laboratory services, as well as an up-to-date point of care ultrasound in the emergency department. Our services have close collaborative relationships with primary health providers in Tokoroa and surrounding areas.
