We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Service Technician to join our team at Able Tech Services.

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients, ensuring they have access to reliable and effective medical equipment.

About the Role:

  • This role involves on-site servicing & repairs of medical and mobility equipment, including beds, patient hoists, wheelchairs, and pressure care mattresses.
  • The successful candidate will diagnose faults, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues, and perform routine maintenance & safety checks to ensure compliance with medical standards.
  • Liaising with clients is essential to provide professional service and technical support, while maintaining accurate records of repairs, servicing, and spare parts used.
  • Sourcing and installing replacement parts when necessary, adhering to New Zealand health and safety protocols in all work environments.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in servicing medical, mobility, or healthcare equipment.
  • Technical/mechanical/electrical skills with experience in fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a keen eye for detail.
  • Full NZ driver's licence for travel to client sites.
