Rocket Lab USA is a leading innovator in space technology, responsible for the development of the Electron rocket. We are currently seeking an Avionics Specialist to join our team at one of our launch sites or test facilities in the United States or New Zealand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing avionic and mechanical components, wiring harnesses, and high voltage batteries onto the Electron launch vehicle. As part of our Vehicle Integration team, you will work closely with other technicians to ensure the smooth integration of all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install avionic and mechanical components, wiring harnesses, and high voltage batteries onto the Electron launch vehicle
  • Work closely with other technicians to ensure the smooth integration of all systems
  • Precision avionic and mechanical assembly
  • Comfortable with high precision crimping, soldering, and harness termination tasks

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified in relevant industry
  • Must be able to demonstrate 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Precision avionic and mechanical assembly
  • Comfortable with high precision crimping, soldering, and harness termination tasks
  • Comfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen service
  • Have a sound understanding of standard industry ESD
