Rocket Lab is a pioneering company that specializes in launch and space systems. Our rockets and satellites enable critical space missions globally, supporting scientific exploration, Earth observation, and climate change initiatives. We have provided reliable access to orbit since 2018 with our Electron rocket, making it one of the most frequently launched rockets worldwide. Our next project, Neutron, is a reusable rocket designed for medium-lift payload class launches.
Job DescriptionThe Neutron Avionics department is responsible for designing and developing avionics systems for the Neutron rocket. The Senior Avionics Engineer – Neutron Flight Safety Systems will be part of this team, focusing on high-level design, component qualification, acceptance testing, and certification activities for the Autonomous Flight Termination System.
Responsibilities- Design and develop test rigs and execute tests according to detailed plans
- Prepare certification documentation and collaborate with external parties
- Guide and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the team's success
