Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Middlemore Hospital. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in providing diagnostic imaging services for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations using various modalities, including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiography (TOE).
- Conduct studies on adult and pediatric patients, utilizing specialized equipment and software.
- Analyze image data to identify and diagnose cardiovascular abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate records of examination results and communicate findings to referring physicians.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field, such as medical imaging or cardiology.
- Current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologist Board (MRTB) or ability to register.
- Minimum 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in cardiac sonography.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
