We are seeking a skilled and motivated nurse to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner Intern (NP Intern). This is an exceptional opportunity for a nurse looking to advance their clinical career.
About the RoleThe NP Intern will work across both the community team and the inpatient unit, gaining advanced-level nursing experience. Throughout the internship year, you will receive in-house education, leadership development, and clinical supervision from an experienced NP and a medical team member.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with patients and whanau to deliver high-quality care.
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
- Contribute to the development of the palliative care service.
Requirements:
- Senior nurse with at least 3 years' experience in palliative care or similar.
- Academically prepared to move forward into your final practicum year in 2026.
- Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership, as well as a keenness and desire to work at the top of their scope as an NP.
