Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Adaptive Robotics and Mechatronics Group at SIMTech. As a key member, you will play a vital role in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing intelligent robotics solutions that tackle real-world challenges across various industries.

Responsibilities
  • Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for robot perception, 2D/3D scene understanding, localization, and planning to enhance the intelligence of robots for real-world tasks.
  • AI and Learning: Develop, integrate, and deploy advanced AI models for various robot tasks such as 2D/3D detection and self-learning to boost autonomy for tasks like pick and place, assembly, etc.
  • Robot Planning and Control: Develop robot motion/trajectory planning and control solutions using tools such as ROS1/ROS2, MoveIt, and Nvidia Isaac for robot simulation and control.
  • Prototype Development: Build and iterate on prototypes to validate algorithms and concepts in real-world robotic applications, ensuring robustness and scalability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++, with familiarity in software development best practices.
  • Experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and with Robot Operating System (ROS).
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies, with a proactive approach to skill development.
