About the Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Bupa Eventhorpe Care Home. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Main Responsibilities

  • To design, develop, and deliver individualised activity programmes that meet the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • To assess residents' cognitive, physical, and emotional abilities to inform activity planning.
  • To ensure the effective implementation of activities, ensuring resident safety and satisfaction.
  • To communicate effectively with residents, families, and care staff regarding activity-related matters.
  • To maintain accurate records of resident activity participation and progress.

Key Requirements

  • NZQA (or equivalent) Diversional Therapy (level 4) Certificate or working towards a DT qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative approach to developing engaging activities for residents.
  • A clean, full driver's license for occasional van use.
