Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dietitian to join our dynamic and supportive Renal team within the Nutrition and Dietetics Service based at Auckland City Hospital.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to step into a Senior Renal Dietitian role, working closely with the Renal Service providing nutrition care for patients with chronic kidney disease including pre-dialysis, dialysis, renal transplant and kidney stone prevention in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively work with a complex caseload delivering high quality outcome focused innovative care, applying evidence-based practice, interventions and education
  • Enhance your skills and knowledge in the comprehensive management of a variety of patients
  • Receive support to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work in partnership with an individual and their whānau to provide client care
  • Optimize patient experience by utilizing your excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborate with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • New Zealand Registered Dietitian qualification
  • 6+ years post-graduate clinical experience preferably working within a clinical dietetic setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
