Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity

We have an Advanced Clinician Critical Care Dietitian opportunity available for an experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic, supportive and self-motivated Critical Care team of 4.4FTE dietitians within the Nutrition and Dietetics Service based at Auckland City Hospital. This role is part of the inpatient Dietitian team and would see you working permanent, part-time (0.6FTE) (24 hours/week) Monday to Friday, with roster weekends. This role will primarily be based across our critical care units where you will be:

  • Providing advanced clinical practice and implementing evidence-based standards of practice
  • Leading the development of local pathways, protocols and guidelines
  • Providing clinical teaching and support to all relevant stakeholders including patients/clients, family whanau, staff and students, and other health professionals.
  • Evaluating service requirements and implementing clinical research and audits
  • Providing advanced clinical resource both locally and regionally
  • Optimising patient experience by utilizing your excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborating with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectives.

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • A total of 8 years post-graduate experience including the equivalent of four years full-time experience within the area of specialty
  • Be a great connector of people and ideas
  • An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range (Depending on experience): Designated Role step B2 $119,995 to designated role step C3 $127,720
