Job Description

In this role as Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the site management team in achieving their objectives. This will involve contributing to the development and delivery of department and individual objectives to maintain/improve department and business performance.

You will also lead/involvement in continuous improvement activities for plant, analysis and problem solving activities (8D, 6-Sigma, etc.). Additionally, you will support site development and sustainment of QMS in line with standards and customer specific requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of Aviation and Aerospace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Quality Management: Contribute towards the development and delivery of department and individual objectives to maintain/improve department and business performance.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Lead/involvement in continuous improvement activities for plant, analysis and problem solving activities (8D, 6-Sigma, etc.)
  • Develop and Implement Quality Control Systems: Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure compliance with customer specific requirements.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain customer and internal quality standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience of leading, coaching, problem solving leadership with strong analytical skills
  • Communication Skills: Excellent organisation skills, management of priorities and communication skills.
  • Quality Systems Knowledge: Understanding of 7W / lean improvement, build standard creation (PFMEA, control plan, working level documents) and implementation / improvement of quality control systems.
  • Educational Background: Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Industry Experience: Experience of working within the automotive sector.
