At Otago Polytechnic, we offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in architecture with a strong focus on learner-centred education and studio culture. Our research spans architectural history, theory, computation, and construction.

We seek candidates who will contribute to the school's ongoing development of a design culture for challenges the built environment will need to address. Ideal candidates will have a passion for energy-efficient designs, construction and tectonic knowledge at different building scales, and a robust research agenda or clear plan to develop research capabilities.

The successful applicant will have thorough knowledge of the architectural industry, practical skills, and recent commercial experience. A postgraduate qualification in architecture or a relevant field is essential, as is a strong understanding of Te Ao Maori or willingness to learn.
