We manage approximately 11,000km of state highway network across New Zealand, which includes a variety of infrastructure such as pavement, drainage, structural, geotechnical, and other corridor related assets.

Job Description

As an engineering or project management graduate, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of engineering disciplines, including asset management and programme development, operation and maintenance of the network, asset renewals, minor improvements, or major capital transport projects. You will assist in the delivery of the forward work plan for capital transport projects and support the NZTA vision of efficiently delivering an integrated, safe, responsive, and sustainable transport system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring an engineering (civil, construction or environmental) or project management qualification, qualified within the last 3 years and early in your career. You will also demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. Additionally, you will have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
