About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team of professionals who are dedicated to providing high-quality financial services to the Southern District Health Board. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that we have accurate and timely financial information to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of annual budgeting and production plans
- Evaluate business initiatives to ensure they are robustly challenged and improve value for money decision making
- Provide organizational instructions, guidelines, and timeframes for budgets
- Facilitate the consolidation of monthly reporting
- Provide clarity on the financial impact of operational performance
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Strong analytical skills with experience of turning analytics into relevant and focused management information
- Advanced computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of database management and accessing information from existing data sources
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and a commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you
- The ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment
