About the Role
We are seeking medical specialists to work in both the Emergency Department and Inpatient Ward at our rural hospital in Taupo. As a member of a small, competent team, you will provide 24/7 medical cover to a population of approximately 41,000. You will have the support of other medical staff such as nurses, medical students, and junior resident doctors.

Key Responsibilities
You will use your varied and broad generalist knowledge and experience to diagnose and treat patients in ED and outpatient clinics. This may involve stabilizing and transferring patients to secondary or tertiary hospitals when required. We are looking for candidates who are within 3 months of obtaining their Rural Hospital Medicine qualification and/or hold/be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
