We are seeking a skilled Rural Hospital Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in our rural hospital setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general medicine and experience working in a rural or remote healthcare setting. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our team of nurses, medical students, and junior resident doctors to provide 24/7 medical cover to our community.
About the RoleYou will be a part of a small competent and supportive team that provides comprehensive medical care to patients in our Emergency Department and Inpatient Ward. Your varied and broad generalist knowledge and experience will enable you to diagnose and treat patients effectively, through to discharge or stabilisation and transfer to secondary/tertiary hospitals when required.
Requirements- 3 months of obtaining your Rural Hospital Medicine qualification and/or hold/be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
