About the Team

The Auckland Regional Forensic Psychiatry Services (ARFPS) team is dedicated to providing high-quality care and rehabilitation to adults with intellectual disabilities who come into contact with the criminal justice system.

We have a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other professionals who work together to provide comprehensive care to our clients.

The Role

This role is for a full-time Clinical Psychologist to join our Forensic Intellectual Disabilities Offender Liaison Service (IDOLS).

IDOLS provides assessment, treatment, and assistance in the recovery of people with mental illness or ID who have committed a criminal offence or are at high risk in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and treatment services to individuals with ID and offence histories
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to support individuals in achieving their goals
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
  • Registration with the NZ Psychology Board as a Registered Psychologist with a Clinical Scope of Practice
  • A current Practising Certificate
