Auckland District Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatry Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is pivotal in delivering specialised mental health services to youth involved in the forensic system.

The ideal candidate will combine clinical expertise with a deep understanding of the legal and ethical landscape, ensuring the highest standards of care. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing expert testimony in court.

Candidates must have a medical degree with specialization in Psychiatry, be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and have extensive experience in youth psychiatry and forensic settings. Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential.
