About the Role

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides specialist mental health services for children and adolescents between birth and 19 years old with significant mental health problems. As an Occupational Therapist, you will become an integral part of supporting young people and their whanau/family in achieving their goals.

You will help provide assessments and interventions that assist our client group in achieving their desired outcomes. The CAMHS team is committed to using the CAPA model, a continuous service improvement model that combines personalized care and collaborative practice when partnering with service users and/or their whanau.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support young people and their families
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Use evidence-based practices and models to inform your work
