About the Role

We are seeking an Auditor Leadership Specialist to join our Risk and Assurance team. The successful candidate will lead the planning, development, execution, and delivery of various audit activities within Auckland Council and applicable Council-Controlled Organizations (CCOs).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, execution, and delivery of audit activities
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships at senior levels
  • Prepare and present governance papers to the leadership team and Audit and Risk Committee

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of organisational strategy, business needs, key drivers, and the surrounding political environment. They should also be able to understand public sector risks and legislative requirements.
