Financial Reporting Specialist Opportunity

A leading Kiwi organisation is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to join their finance team on a six-month contract basis.

About the Role:
This contract role is pivotal in ensuring smooth financial reporting during a critical period. With year-end approaching and a newly implemented finance system, you'll play a key role in consolidating financial reports, supporting the audit process, and enhancing reporting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Consolidate and analyse monthly and year-end group financial reports for leadership and the Board.
  2. Assist in preparing statutory group financial statements under NZ IFRS.
  3. Support the year-end audit process and collaborate with external auditors.
  4. Optimise reporting processes post system implementation.
  5. Assist with quarterly forecasting and other ad hoc group reporting tasks.

Requirements:

  1. CA, CPA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant.
  2. Experience in large group consolidations and financial reporting.
  3. Strong knowledge of NZ IFRS and reporting standards.
  4. Proficiency with large ERP systems is advantageous.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  6. Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle complex financial data.
  7. Strong time management and ability to perform in high-pressure periods.
  8. A proactive team player with strong communication skills.

Contract Details:

  • Six-month contract in modern Auckland CBD offices.
  • Hourly rate c.$65-75 GST per hour.
