**Overview:**

Health New Zealand | Southern is a leading provider of healthcare services in Otago and Southland. Our ophthalmology department provides comprehensive eye care services to the community, including medical retina and uveitis subspecialties.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated medical retina expert to join our team. As a medical retina expert, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical retina care to patients in our region.

This role is ideal for an experienced and enthusiastic ophthalmologist who is passionate about medical retina and has excellent communication and time management skills. You will work closely with our existing team of ophthalmologists and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the growth and development of our ophthalmology department.

About You:

  • Eligibility for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • FRANZCO or equivalent board certification (American board of Ophthalmology, FRCSC, FRCOphth)
  • Experience in medical retina subspecialty
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
