About the Role

New Zealand's rapid urban growth has put immense pressure on its aging infrastructure. The challenge lies in meeting the demands of this expansion while ensuring public health and safety. As a Three Waters Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions to upgrade stormwater, wastewater, and potable water networks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects to meet urban growth demands.
  • Work on solutions such as detention ponds, soakage systems, rain gardens, wetlands, and pipeline upgrades.
  • Deliver wastewater systems, including on-site disposal, private and public line extensions, and system remediation.
  • Address water supply challenges, including reticulation upgrades, pressure testing, supply analysis, and leak detection coordination.
  • In Senior and Team Lead roles, lead project delivery, manage teams, and liaise with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, iwi, and property owners.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in design and delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with resource consent processes and consultation with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and green infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
