Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Dam Technician to join our team at Watercare Services Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our water supply.

Key Tasks:

  1. Operate and maintain headworks structures and infrastructure to ensure serviceability.
  2. Maintain effective communication and support the operational management of the headworks system.
  3. Maintain the hydrological network to meet required performance standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A current NZ driver's license.
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar environment with proven knowledge of safety in and around water (with the ability to swim 50m).
  • Experience using computerized database systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team.
