We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Services Manager to lead the implementation of our strategic vision across Canterbury, West Coast, and Nelson/Marlborough. This is a permanent part-time role working 4 days a week, based in Christchurch with opportunities for remote work.
About the Role
The Community Services Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance community engagement and participation in our services. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including iwi, government agencies, health sector partners, and NGOs. You will also ensure the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe services that make a real difference for whanau and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure services are responsive, sustainable, and aligned with community needs
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
- WORK TO INTEGRATE SERVICES MEET OPERATIONAL TARGETS AND ENSURE FINANCIAL AND PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES ARE ACHIEVED
- Cultivate meaningful internal connections and create a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion for community development and a commitment to social justice. You will have a proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a strong focus on developing and delivering services that meet the needs of diverse communities.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification (diploma or above) in Community Services, Education, Social Services, or extensive leadership/management experience
- Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of developing and delivering services
- Experience in stakeholder management and building strong relationships with community groups and external partners
- Strong financial and budgetary management skills in a non-profit or charitable context
- PASSION FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND ENSURING SERVICES ARE EQUITABLE AND ACCESSIBLE TO MAORIPACIFICASIAND OTHER PRIORITY POPULATIONS
- A full NZ Drivers Licence as regular travel will be part of this role
