One day you may be out in a rural environment capturing a story about local environmental work, the next responding to an urgent unfolding environmental incident.The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours per week).You'll be involved in:Supporting the team responding to environmental incidents.Helping to deliver engagement campaigns to talk to the community about issues affecting their properties or community.Writing articles and creating digital content that showcases the projects and issues our teams are working on.You'll ideally have a relevant tertiary qualification in a communications discipline along with practical knowledge in developing communication and engagement strategies in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
You'll be an enthusiastic, energetic, skilled advisor working closely with managers across the organisation.To enjoy this role, you'll:Be strong in your writing, marketing, communications, or engagement.Interpret and translate complex or technical information into everyday language.Be community-focused, with the ability to see things from the community's perspective.Have an understanding of te ao Maori and te reo Maori and experience in iwi engagement, or a willingness to learn.Our values underpin everything we do.
