The Salvation Army Wellington Bridge Centre is dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment and support services to individuals struggling with alcohol or substance use. Our centre offers a range of services, including residential programmes and community-based initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our residential programme in Newtown, Wellington. This role offers a chance to work with a dynamic team, contributing to the development and delivery of our treatment model.

About the Role:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the effective implementation of our treatment model, ensuring sound clinical practice and best practice service delivery. This role will also involve providing leadership and direction to the Clinical Team Leader, focusing on operational clinical decision-making.

The successful candidate will work closely with the management group to develop, implement, and review workforce development and strategy. This will ensure staff have opportunities for training and professional growth, enhancing their cultural and clinical competencies.

This role requires direct management of the Wellington Bridge Intake Team, ensuring admissions and assessments meet our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The incumbent will also be responsible for completing Alcohol and Other Drug Outcome Measures (ADOMs) accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and delivery of our residential programme.
  2. Provide leadership and direction to the Clinical Team Leader.
  3. Ensure the effective implementation of our treatment model.
  4. Work closely with the management group to develop, implement, and review workforce development and strategy.
  5. Manage the Wellington Bridge Intake Team.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold a degree in Addiction or a relevant field, such as social work or clinical psychology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development relevant to addiction studies is necessary.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, maintaining client and service confidentiality, is crucial.
