About the Job: This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care and rehabilitation services to clients with intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to cultural safety. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Your Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Working closely with clients to identify their needs and develop individualized plans
  • Providing support and guidance to clients in developing practical skills and participating in activities
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and rehabilitation services
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in client status
  • Participating in staff supervision and education programs to enhance professional development

About the Ideal Candidate: To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will be highly motivated, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of level 4 NZQA National Certificate in Community Health Support Services or equivalent qualification is required, along with experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
