About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team as a fixed-term cover for maternity leave. The role will involve working within our Assessment, Treatment, and Rehabilitation (AT&R) unit at Hawke's Bay Hospital.

About the Team/Service/Location

The AT&R unit provides care for people with a variety of acute and long-term conditions, including elective orthopaedic procedures, neurological conditions, and complex discharge planning. Our dynamic and supportive Allied Health Service is passionate about engaging people and their whanau in care, setting up consumers to effectively manage long-term conditions or acute illness from hospital, helping people to develop or adapt their skills, strengths, and abilities, and innovation and change for better patient outcomes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a passion for rehabilitation, promoting and utilizing person-focused goal setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support and develop others. They will also need to have current New Zealand registration, a minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience, knowledge of rehabilitation principles, including neuro rehab, flexible work arrangements, autonomy to work independently, and competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting their journey and taking ownership of their learning and growth.
