About the Role

We are looking for a Children's Food Coordinator who shares our passion for providing nutritious meals to young children. As part of our team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of our tamariki.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals. A strong understanding of kitchen health and safety practices, as well as basic computer skills, are also essential.

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary package, as well as opportunities for professional development through our online learning platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals for our tamariki, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Manage food budgets effectively and make smart purchasing decisions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote healthy eating habits among our children
