Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

About ACC

ACC exists to support people, helping prevent injuries and getting New Zealanders and visitors back to everyday life if they've had an accident. Our vision is a future where we work together so that all people and their communities can live lives they value.

We're committed to improving lives every day through a focus on prevention, care, and recovery for all people in Aotearoa New Zealand who are affected by injury. Our strategy, Huakina Te Ra, underpins our commitment to partnering with Māori and achieving equitable wellbeing outcomes for Māori.

The information security space at ACC has grown significantly over the last few years. We're looking for someone who can join us to gain a high-level understanding of how the Information Security space functions and feed this information back to the wider organisation.

You'll get a handle on the 'business as usual' of the entire group and engage internally on how we're helping the wider organisation. You'll be responsible for developing and driving best practice security and key controls management to mitigate risks across T&D through robust communication, collaboration, training, support, and effective coordination of tasks and resources for assigned projects and programmes of security initiatives.

This role will also facilitate reporting through to relevant governance groups and committees and manage both internal and external audit actions, including NIST maturity, alongside the wider team. You'll provide risk, controls, and compliance reporting and testing alongside advice, guidance, and support from a first-line Information Security perspective.

You'll work closely with T&D teams and the wider business to educate, build awareness, and influence the development of strong and effective Information Security controls and processes. You'll drive innovation and continuous improvement within T&D practices and develop new approaches to increase efficiencies across our Information Security risk and controls frameworks.
