Salary and Benefits: This role offers a salary starting at $146k, competitive + Kiwisaver and Wellness Benefits. A permanent role based in Wellington with flexibility to work from home upon agreement will also be provided.

Job Description: As a Cyber Security Portfolio Manager, you will effectively lead a team of cyber security assurance professionals to get the best security outcomes for the business group and MBIE. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that business teams engage with cyber security to determine appropriate security measures when planning and implementing new projects. You will oversee the governance of Certification and security assurance activities across a Portfolio of Business Groups at MBIE. Additionally, you will provide security assurance and recommendations about key MBIE systems, track security remediations for key MBIE systems, and translate technical security concepts into business-speak whilst building and maintaining relationships with Business and System Owners across MBIE.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need experience with managing risk assessment or Certification and Accreditation processes. You should have 10+ years experience managing in an IT Security or related role, including engaging and motivating teams and individuals. Proven ability to successfully build the trust and engagement of senior leaders through personal advocacy, vision, drive, and working collaboratively with colleagues is also required. Furthermore, you should have good knowledge and wide experience across cyber security disciplines with a good understanding of best practice security principles. In addition to these qualifications, you will need to hold relevant certification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP), already be in NZ with a legal right to live and work here, and meet the requirement obtain and retain 'SECRET' clearance.
