This realignment has created new permanent positions for cyber security professionals passionate about leading Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) and providing pragmatic advice to our customers and project teams.This role will be managing one of our cyber security assurance teams that supports a group of MBIE Business Groups.Please make sure your carefully crafted cover letter describes how your experience in your CV matches the role requirements.You will be;Effectively leading a team of cyber security assurance professionals to get the best security outcomes for the business group and MBIE.Ensuring that business teams engage with cyber security to determine appropriate security measures when planning and implementing new projects.Overseeing the governance of Certification and security assurance activities across a Portfolio of Business Groups at MBIE.Providing security assurance and recommendations about key MBIE systems.Tracking security remediations for key MBIE systems.Translating technical security concepts into business-speak whilst building and maintaining relationships with Business and System Owners across MBIE.Nga pukenga me nga wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required
• Experience with managing risk assessment or Certification and Accreditation processes – including scoping and developing security risk assessments and controls assessments.
• 10+ Years experience managing in an IT Security or related role including engaging and motivating teams and individuals.
• Proven ability to successfully build the trust and engagement of senior leaders through personal advocacy, vision, drive and working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Ability to remain up to date on key technical changes and opportunities in the cyber security domain and proactively use this to continuously improve MBIE services.
• Good knowledge and wide experience across cyber security disciplines with a good understanding of best practice security principles.In addition to the experience this role, you will also need;Cyber security relevant certification e.g.
CISA, CISM, CISSP etc.Must already be in NZ with a legal right to live and work here.You must be able to meet the requirement to obtain and retain "SECRET" clearance.
