We are seeking a highly experienced Clinical Nurse Shift Leader to join our Whare Whakaue Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit based at Rotorua Hospital. As a leader in acute inpatient mental health, you will be responsible for allocating, leading and co-ordinating workloads and resources on a shift by shift basis.

  • You will provide coaching and leadership in managing acute situations and will be seen as a knowledge resource to others.
  • Grow the capacity of junior & overseas trained staff to deliver a high standard of care through coaching and mentoring.
About You

As a Clinical Nurse Shift Leader, you will have a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience, with a minimum of 3 of those years in an acute inpatient mental health setting. You will also have competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
