Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity is for a trusted advisor to the Commissioner of Police. You will lead exceptional media and communications support and strategies, leveraging your sound understanding of the media environment and communications.
- You will provide media relations leadership and expertise across the Commissioner's media and communications activity.
- You will build and maintain constructive relationships with media, key stakeholders, and external partners.
- Supports the Commissioner in identifying and managing significant media and communications issues and opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience providing high-level strategic advice on media and communications, ideally in a large or complex organization. Senior-level journalism experience is advantageous.
You must have exceptional communication skills, including the ability to translate complicated information into clear and accessible messaging to support public trust and confidence.
You will be required to manage high-risk, sensitive, and complex issues under pressure, and experience writing speeches, media releases, and responses, and opinion editorials.
