Job Overview

This role involves providing expert legal advice and guidance on employment law, industrial relations, and workplace matters to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as an employment lawyer with a current New Zealand practicing certificate or the ability to obtain one, and/or working in an employment/industrial relations role in a highly unionized complex organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating complex employment relations issues, providing strategic guidance, and representing the organization in employment disputes, mediations, and Employment Relations Authority proceedings.

The role reports directly to the Head of Employee Relations and can be based from Auckland or Christchurch.
