About Roady

We're a travel app that's changing the way people discover and experience New Zealand's best adventures. We're looking for a Content Specialist to help us grow our social channels, produce engaging content, and drive app downloads.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of Roady. As a Content Specialist, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality content, collaborating with our team, and developing strategies to grow our social media presence.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Social Media Growth – Drive the growth of Roady's Instagram and TikTok through high-quality, engaging content.
  2. App Growth – Leverage social media to drive app downloads and user engagement.
  3. Content Creation – Plan, shoot, and edit short-form travel videos. Shooting on an iPhone is totally fine—we've got the pro cameras and drones covered in-house.
  4. Brand Partnerships – Work with Roady's partners to roll out promotional campaigns.
  5. App Content Management – Add new must-do experiences to the Roady App, writing content in our brand's tone of voice.
  6. Community Engagement – Moderate new app listing requests from travelers and businesses.
  7. Email & Blog Writing – Occasionally craft engaging emails and blog posts to support marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • Video creation & editing – Can create and edit short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok.
  • iPhone filming skills – Comfortable shooting video content on an iPhone.
  • Social media growth – Has experience growing a social media account (business or personal brand).
  • Love for travel – Keen to explore New Zealand regularly as part of their job.
  • Confidence on camera – Comfortable featuring in content and bringing personality to videos.
  • Data-driven mindset – Comfortable analyzing content performance and testing strategies to boost views & app downloads.
  • Strong storytelling & writing skills – Can bring experiences to life through compelling narratives.
  • Coachable & adaptable – Open to feedback and willing to learn.
  • Wellington-based or remote – Ideally based in Wellington or willing to move.
