About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Officer/Consultant Histopathologist to join our team in the Anatomical Pathology Department at Waikato Hospital. The successful applicant will be based in Hamilton, working in partnership within a team of 11 anatomical pathologists and 2 registrars.

About the Team/Service/Location

">

The department works in collaboration with clinicians from across the hospital and region to deliver anatomical pathology services in a tertiary hospital setting. Our pathologists cover all areas of general histopathology and non-gynae cytology with the opportunity to participate in some areas of sub-specialty depending on the applicant's background and experience.

About You

">

To be eligible for this role, applicants must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). Key skills required include demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality and timely service, ability to solve problems in a complex environment, and competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori.
